Road Trip To The Response Prayer Rally on June 13th

Road Trip To " The Response " in North Charleston Our Governor Nikki Haley has called our state to a day of prayer, fasting, repentance, and seeking God’s face. On Saturday June 13, 2015 , we will are joining other Anderson area churches by taking our church bus to the North Charleston Coliseum to attend this one day event. There will be no political agendas attached to this event! Candidates will not be stumping for votes and all who are speaking in the program are evangelical Christians. Space is limited so we will take the first 13 to sign up . We will leave the church parking lot on the 13th at 6:00 am and stop for breakfast on the way to Charleston. The program begins at 10:00 am. and concludes at 4:00 pm. We will eat dinner on the way home and arrive back to the church around 9:00 pm. Weekly Youth Update: 5/25-5/31

The final week of May is here and that means we are quickly approaching the summer! This week, the Homeland Park youth will conclude our series through the book of Proverbs where we will continue to study how the wisdom of God deepens the relationship His children have with Him, which is first established by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We’ve learned how this affects our day to day life in our relationships and the language we use. We will conclude by seeing how this wisdom affects other practical areas in our lives! Our Wednesday night Bible study is from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Loft of the Family Life Center. The gym opens at 6:00 for anyone wanting to hang out beforehand! Invite your friends and family to come! Below is a schedule of our summer activities! We pray these events grow us closer to the Lord and continue to deepen relationships. Weekly Youth Update: 5/18-5/24

This week, the Homeland Park youth will be continuing our study of Proverbs! Last week, we learned the foundations of Proverbs from Proverbs 1:1-7. We learned how following and obeying the wisdom of the Proverbs grows a Christian in their relationship with God, which is established through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. This week, we will learn specific applications from Proverbs which grow a Christian closer to God and bring peace between people! Our Bible study is Wednesday night, 6:30-7:30, in the Loft of the Family Life Center. The gym opens at 6:00 for anyone wanting to hang out beforehand! Below is a schedule of our summer activities! Young Adult Bowling and Burgers Night - May 23

Our "Riding The Waves" Small Group would like to invite you to our Bowling and Burgers outing.  We will bowl a few games then go to Fuddrucker's for dinner. Whether you are single or married, make a point to attend. We always have fun when we get together.

Men's Biscuit Breakfast - June 6

EVENT: Men's Biscuit Breakfast WHEN: June 6th, 2015 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am WHERE : HPBC Family Life Center All of our men and boys of HPBC are invited to join us for this event. We will get our Saturday started by enjoying each others fellowship and have a brief devotion for our Pastor. Bring A Friend! Donations to cover the cost of the biscuits are appreciated but not required.

As we study Proverbs, we will learn what it means to live in right relationship with God, our need for Jesus, and the results of living according to the Proverbs! Mission Action for May 2015

Our Mission Action Project for the month of May is for Mercy Center at 2408 South Main Street. The Mercy Center helps people who are homeless and poverty stricken. They can use any of the following: Bottled Water, Pop-Top Food Items, Coffee, Sugar, Creamer, Bathroom Tissue, Kleenex, Paper Towels, Paper Plates, Paper Cups, Napkins, Diapers (All Sizes), Copy Paper (For Office Use), Scissors, Pens, Paper Clips and White-Out. The emphasis for Operation Christmas Child for this month is: Washcloths, Bars of Soap and Combs. Please leave any of the above in the Bible Study Office. MOTHER’S DAY OFFERING Sunday, May 10th This offering goes to the South Carolina Baptist Ministries for the Aging. Envelopes are in the pews. WMU The WMU will be cutting Soup Labels at the May meeting. Please make an extra special effort to be there to help. Please bring scissors and scotch tape with you. Thanks. 

Weekly Youth Update: 5/4-5/10

Last week, we concluded our “Who is God?” study by learning about what it means for God to be King! The previous two weeks, they learned about God as Creator and Redeemer. This study was a refreshing review of God’s character and wondrous works for us! This week, we are holding our second First Wednesday Youth Night! On the first Wednesday of every month, we gather in the Loft of the Family Life Center for a night of games, fellowship, and fun! We meet during our normal time, from 6:30-7:30. We will still hang out in the gym beforehand at 6:00 for anyone who wants to come. We hope that you are able to make it and invite a few friends too! As announced last week, our summer will begin very soon! Below is a schedule of events taking place throughout the summer. Don’t forget about our Wednesday nights either!
