"All-In" Church-Wide Leadership Worship Event

“ALL IN” CHURCH-WIDE LEADERSHIP WORSHIP EVENT Sunday, February 12th   6:00 PM   Each committee, team, or ministry needs to discuss what programs, goals or needs they may have for this church year. At least one representative from each committee / team / ministry will provide input on upcoming goals and events for the year. At this event, as a church we will worship, pray and encourage one another in this new year of opportunity.

Church-Wide Valentine Party & Shut-In Ministry

  Church-Wide Valentine Party & Shut-In Ministry Wednesday, February 8th   6:30 PM In the FLC   Plan to join us for our Valentine Party and Shut-In Ministry. Please bring addressed valentine cards for our shut-in's. A list of our shut-in’s is at the front of the sanctuary on the organ side. Also, bring finger foods, desserts, and drinks for our party. 

Mission Action for February

Mission Action Our Mission Action Project for the month of February will be for Under His Wings. They can use: Canned Fruits & Vegetables, Coffee (Regular & Decaf), Sugar, Creamer, Sweet ‘N Low Sweetener, Paper Plates, Paper Cups, Kleenex, Bathroom Tissue, Snack Items, Kool-Aid, Microwave Popcorn, Good Christian Books, Bibles (Preferably NIV), and Clean/Useable Dresses for Church (Sizes 16, 18, 20). Please leave in the Bible Study Office.

Asking Why?

“Why” is a question that is driven by our need to understand. Scientists are driven to prove “why” things happen. Health professionals seek to understand why our body fails, and everyone wants to know “why” certain events happen to them. The bottom line is we want to understand what we are going through, what we need to get past it, and what should we learn from it. A few weeks ago I was driving early in the morning to an appointment. The fog was so thick that I could not see five feet in front of me and my car’s lights were not helping. I drove past my destination. I simply turned around and arrived. We all are in a fog to some degree. We can only see what is in front of us while God our creator sees everything. Only seeing part of the picture is a blessing because we as believers are constantly driven to God for direction, wisdom and strength. “Why?”, is not the question we should be asking.
