Weekly Youth Update: 2/24 - 3/1

The Homeland Park youth had an amazing time of fellowship with the rest of the church body at our Valentine’s Party! We made Valentine’s for our shut-ins and spent time with the church around a great meal. Nights like these are great blessings as the youth are able to meet and get to know strong believers who are amazing examples of being faithful followers of our Lord! This week we have two items on our youth calendar. First, we will return to our normal Bible study schedule. We will be continuing our Questions series as we study how God answers prayer. The Family Life Center will open at 6:00 Wednesday night; Bible study will begin at 6:30 and end by 7:30. We hope that you are able to join for a great time of growth, fellowship, and fun! Don’t forget to invite family and friends! The other event on our youth calendar is our “Youth Olympics” from 1:00-3:00 Saturday afternoon, March 1 (lunch will not be provided). We will be on the field next to the Family Life Center pla

Weekly Youth Update: 2/17 - 2/23

Due to all the snow and ice from the past week, we had to cancel last week's Wednesday night services. This week, we will start back up with our previously planned church-wide Valentine’s Party from 6:30-7:30 in the Family Life Center! We hope to see you there! Next Wednesday, February 26, we will continue our Questions series with a discussion about prayer. We have had great discussions and have learned a lot through this series and we pray that you will join us for a great time of fellowship, learning, and growth! On March 1, we will have a youth field activity day in the fields beside the Family Life Center from 1:00 – 3:00 Saturday afternoon. We will be playing games like flag football, kickball, and more! More information will be posted next week. Invite your family and friends to join us for fellowship and fun! If you have any questions, please email me at jason@homelandparkbc.org ! Jason

Weekly Youth Update: 2/10 - 2/16

Last Wednesday evening we had a fantastic discussion in 1 John 2 discussing the relationship between sin and the life of a believer. The students learned two important truths: believers have security and ever present grace provided through Jesus’ atoning work even in the midst of sin and one of the evidences that a person is truly saved is a life of pursuing holiness. We are looking forward to continuing our Questions series in a few weeks with a discussion about how God answers prayer. This Wednesday night, we’ll have the blessing of joining the rest of the church body for a Valentine’s Dinner Fellowship! We will meet in the Family Life Center during our normal Bible study time from 6:30-7:30. Come join us for fellowship, food, and fun! The Anderson area is preparing for the chance of winter weather and we will post an update if our weekly schedule changes. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at jason@homelandparkbc.org ! Jason

Weekly Youth Update: 2/03-2/09

Although our Wednesday night Bible study was cancelled because of bad weather, we had a great time Saturday with our pizza lunch and game time! The students were able to hang out, relax, and better get to know one another as we played basketball, football, and other fun games. A new schedule will be posted soon for future socials! Our parent/student meeting will be this Wednesday evening at 6:00 and last about 20 minutes. We will discuss the youth schedule for the spring semester and other ministry updates. Bible study will follow at its normal time from 6:30-7:30. At Bible study, we will be continuing our Questions series with a new discussion: what happens when a Christian sins? Our passage of study is 1 John 2:1-6 as we seek to answer this important question. Invite your family and friends and we look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions about upcoming events, please email me at jason@homelandparkbc.org ! Jason
