The Beauty of Growth

[Psalm 147:7-8] 7 Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; play the lyre to our God, 8 who covers the sky with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, and causes grass to grow on the hills. One of my favorite things about spring time is seeing the grass in my yard go from the winter shade of brown, back to the vibrant green of spring. Of course, with the rejuvenated grass comes the responsibility of fertilizing, watering and cutting.  Anything of beauty requires effort on our part to sustain it. Just like Adam, God has given us a beautiful life to tend.  Make every effort to weed out sin in your life and fertilize your soul with the Word of God. Do not be afraid to try new things for the Lord. Everyday we are either growing or dying in our spiritual life.  If God is leading you to do something for Him take a chance. Love Him, worship Him and serve Him because there are beautiful results for you to enjoy and others to admire. In Him, Pastor James

New Sunday Night Sermon Series - 4 Scriptures That Move us From Existing To Living

God has created us for more than simply existing from day to day.  He has created us to live our lives in a close relationship with Him. There is a trend for people to pull away from God in order to pursue their self driven goals and wants.  Too often we find out that simply existing for our schedules, paychecks and relationships can be exhausting if our motivation is not in tact.  To know the power found in living a life for God, we must know what that looks like.  God has given us clear instructions for living in these four biblical passages (23rd Psalm / The 10 Commandments / The Lord's Prayer / The Beatitudes) .  Join us on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm as we find strength from God's word in moving from simply existing to living our lives.

Prayer Ministry Updates

At the beginning of the year, our leadership felt led to make prayer a priority in 2015. I know that sounds like it should be a given for a church, but there is a difference between praying and church and being a praying church. One addition we have made is the Worship Prayer Team. Each week members are praying specifically during the morning services for God to move and lives to be touched. Many have taken advantage of this that have not been able to come to other prayer meetings. It is so encouraging to hear their testimonies of how God is using that special time in their lives. Secondly, in an effort to keep our public prayer list accurate we are adding some guidelines to keep it fresh and current. 1. All prayer list requests need to be made through our church office either by phone or email. Any prayer request that is submitted must have the consent of the person being prayed for. Some people cherish the prayers of their friends and family but do not want it published
