Homeland Park Baptist Church was brought together to share the beautiful good news of Christ since 1945.  Since then the church strives to live out the love of God and share it with others. 
Senior Pastor - Rev. James Strickland
Pastor James Strickland is happy to return to South Carolina.  He holds an Associates in Arts from Anderson University, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor James comes to Homeland Park after serving in Student Ministry for over twenty years.  He has a passion for families and reaching others with the love of Christ. He and his bride Donna have been married for 24 years and love spending time with their 3 year old lab/boarder collie mix Bruno.  They also enjoy spending time with both of their families who are in the upstate area.

Administrative Assistant - Teresa Kay
Teresa grew up in eastern NC. She moved to Anderson in 1991. She has been married to her husband Tony for 27 years. They have a daughter named Anna who is a senior at Crescent High School. Teresa retired from Lowe’s after 25 years of service. They enjoy boating, fishing, and trips to the mountains. She and her family are members of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Confession, Reflection and The Lord's Supper

Yesterday, our church observed the ordinance of the Lord''s Supper or Communion as some call it.  Our church is blessed to have a committee that prepares this for us on every fifth Sunday.  This practice is designed to take us back in our hearts and minds to that dreadful night where Jesus sat at a table with His disciples to prepare them for His pending crucifixion .   The purpose of the Lord's Supper is not for us to go through the motions, but to remember all that Christ did for us.  His body was broken and blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins.  Communion is a time to reflect, appreciate and give honor to Jesus for what He endured for us. The Gift: A Christmas Sermon Series
