Over the past month, the youth took part in COLA WARS and volunteering for Vacation Bible School. COLA WARS was an event, from June 17-19, hosted by Southside Baptist Church in partnership with Homeland Park Baptist Church and Eureka Baptist Church. The focus of the event is reach teenagers with the Gospel in salvation and growing believing students in their relationship with Christ. The focus of the week in teaching was to examine our hearts to repent of sin and to live in the freeing righteousness of Jesus through His Gospel work. The worship provided students a snapshot of God’s greatness, character, and love for us. The games provided students great opportunities to build relationships with one another and let loose after a full school year. Thank you, Southside Baptist Church, for hosting and using your resources with us for the sake of the Gospel!

HPBC hosted Vacation Bible School from June 22-25.Mary Lou Finley, our children’s director, did a marvelous job of organizing the event and ensuring children heard the Gospel. Thank you, Mary Lou! High school and middle school students sacrificed their time to serve and invest in the children. We greatly appreciate their hard work and faithfulness. God’s faithfulness was greatly seen in this event, through Gospel proclamation, professions of faith, and new relationships with members of our community!

Thank you again for your prayers and please continue to pray for us as we continue the summer!

This ordinance is not for everyone.  This is only to be taken by those who are believers and accepted Jesus as their ultimate forgiver and leader.  To partake in this service in an unworthy state is sin. 1 Corinthians 11:27 (NLT) 27 So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of s
