Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes Are On Their Way, But There Is Still Time!

Yesterday, sixty-four shoeboxes were sent from our church family to Operation Christmas Child to be distributed all around the world.  Thank you for all who gave and prepared these boxes.  It is amazing to hear stories of how each box ends up in the hands of a specific child that meets their specific needs whether it be a pair of socks, toothbrush, doll or toy car. Pray for the hands that deliver these shoeboxes and for those that receive them.  Thank you church for reaching our world!



If you would still like to prepare a shoe box for a child there is still time. You prepare a shoe box and take it to Concord Baptist Church.  Here are the drop off times.

  • Wed, Nov. 18: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Thu, Nov. 19: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Fri, Nov. 20: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Sat, Nov. 21: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Sun, Nov. 22: 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Mon, Nov. 23: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Yesterday, our church observed the ordinance of the Lord''s Supper or Communion as some call it.  Our church is blessed to have a committee that prepares this for us on every fifth Sunday.  This practice is designed to take us back in our hearts and minds to that dreadful night where Jesus sat at a table with His disciples to prepare them for His pending crucifixion .   The purpose of the Lord's Supper is not for us to go through the motions, but to remember all that Christ did for us.  His body was broken and blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins.  Communion is a time to reflect, appreciate and give honor to Jesus for what He endured for us. The Wondrous Cross

Attention all! As you drive by or visit our church, take a moment to admire the beautiful cross located to the right of our main entrance. This Easter season, we'll be using this cross to commemorate the special days leading up to Jesus' glorious resurrection.
