Farewell Reception for Jason and Elizabeth Elvington on November 18

It is bittersweet for me to announce that our youth pastor Jason Elvington has accepted a call to serve as the University and Youth Pastor at College Heights Baptist Church in Plainview, Texas.  We are sad to see he and Elizabeth go, but know God is leading them in this direction.  We want to send them off in a big way.

We will have a farewell reception for them this Wednesday Night (November 18) in the Family Life 6:30 pm. The menu will be pizza and a cake.  We would also love, for some of our folks to bring some other desserts as well.

Jason's last Sunday with us will be November 22nd.  Please be in prayer for he and his family during this transition.  Pray for our church as well, to find the person God will provide to lead our youth.

In Him,

Pastor James

This ordinance is not for everyone.  This is only to be taken by those who are believers and accepted Jesus as their ultimate forgiver and leader.  To partake in this service in an unworthy state is sin. 1 Corinthians 11:27 (NLT) 27 So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of s
