Support Our Community by Attending The Dream Big Parade This Friday Morning

Image
Greetings folks,

I was happy to receive in invitation today for our church to support Homeland Park Primary School by attending their 3rd Annual Dream Big Parade on September 4th at 10:00 am. They are asking us to simply go to the school and cheer on their students/teachers as they walk through our community.

Special Guests will include: the Westside High Ram Band, Homeland Park Fire Department, and more.

Let's take our church outside of the walls of our worship center by encouraging our local school to Dream Big!

Thank you in advance,

Pastor James

He Is Able!

[Ephesians 3:20] Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.
Dear Church,

I have been so encouraged to see God working through the lives of our members. I cannot thank our congregation enough for making our “Fall Out of Summer Spectacular” go so smoothly. It was refreshing to see many new faces from the community bring their children to the event. School supplies were given to over fifty children that needed them and most importantly, each one heard the gospel presentation.

He Came To Earth He Died For Our Sins He Rose from The Grave He Ascended Into Heaven He Is Coming Back For Us
Giving a child school supplies will help them this year, but sharing Jesus with them can change their life. With another month comes greater opportunities. Do not grow faint or be subject to a “little” faith. Know that God is able and He will give you the power and strength to overcome any obstacle you may be dealing with today. You are loved …

What a week! This past Sunday, we hosted our third annual Fall Out of Summer Spectacular! We had a great showing from the community of children and youth joining us for games, food, and school supplies. Most importantly, we gathered students into small groups to share the Gospel by giving them a wristband which will help them remember Jesus’ death and resurrection and tell it to others! Over the past two years, God has mightily used this event to give us new relationships with the community and we pray this continues this year.
This Wednesday, the youth will begin our study through 1 John. I am extremely excited to begin this journey through this crucial book of the Bible which will help us understand Jesus’ work for us, the life and evidence of a true Christian, and the assurance we can have in our relationship with God! Bible study is Wednesday night, 6:30-7:30 pm, in the Loft of the Family Life Center. The gym will open at 6:00 beforehand for anyone wanting to hang out!

All-In Leadership Meeting For The "Fall Out of Summer Spectacular" August 16 @ 5:00 PM in the Sanctuary
Pastor James is calling all leadership of the church to an important planning meeting for the “Fall Out of Summer Spectacular.” We need representation from the deacons, bible study teachers, food services, missions, and more. Even if you are not on a committee and would like to help, he needs you at this meeting too. Our church has seen tremendous results from this outreach to our community. This week, the youth will meet for Bible study in the Loft on Wednesday night, from 6:30-7:30 in the Family Life Center! Last week, we had a wonderful discussion and study in Psalm 24 learning of God’s sovereign rule, His holiness, and His Son’s victory to redeem us in our unholy state. We pray our study this week in Galatians 1:11-17 is just as wonderful as week seek to understand the life change which comes from the Gospel. Before Bible study, you can hang out with us starting at 6:00 in the gym of the Family Life Center. We are excited to see you there!
In the coming weeks, we’ll be completing our fall semester schedule. In the meantime, circle August 22-23 on your calendar. On Sunday afternoon, August 23, we will host our Fall Out of Summer Spectacular at the church! This is our biggest yearly outreach and has led to deep relationships in our community.
