Weekly Youth Update: 9/21-9/27


The Homeland Park youth are currently exploring 1 John in our Wednesday night Bible study! This week, we will be in 1 John 3. Bible study is from our normal time of 6:30-7:30. We hang out beforehand at 6:00 in the gym of the Family Life Center. Invite family and friends and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow at 6!

The Saluda Baptist Association Student Rally is Sunday evening, October 18 at Pope Drive Baptist Church! This is an evening you will not want to miss as we join our brothers and sisters in Christ from neighboring churches for fellowship and growth in the Lord together to be encouraged and challenged to carry out God’s mission for us in the greater Anderson area. Details of time and departure are coming soon but circle the date today on your calendar!

Homecoming at Homeland Park Baptist Church is Sunday morning, November 1! Join us for this time of welcoming back friends and family and pray for an awakening and revival in our community and church as we celebrate several decades of God’s work in our congregation! Look for more information to come soon.

Confession, Reflection and The Lord's Supper

Yesterday, our church observed the ordinance of the Lord''s Supper or Communion as some call it.  Our church is blessed to have a committee that prepares this for us on every fifth Sunday.  This practice is designed to take us back in our hearts and minds to that dreadful night where Jesus sat at a table with His disciples to prepare them for His pending crucifixion .   The purpose of the Lord's Supper is not for us to go through the motions, but to remember all that Christ did for us.  His body was broken and blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins.  Communion is a time to reflect, appreciate and give honor to Jesus for what He endured for us. 2017 Annual Fall Senior Adult Celebration / Dennis Swanberg

Dennis Swanberg “America’s Minister of Encouragement” Dr. Dennis Swanberg, affectionately known to as “America’s Minister of Encouragement”, He is a seasoned and solid communicator whose sly wit delivers life enriching truths to the heart on wings of laughter. He will be at the The Beaverdam Baptist Association’s 2017 Annual Fall Senior Adult Celebration at Thursday, October 19th at 10:30 AM at Seneca Baptist. There is no cost for the event however you may want to bring money for lunch on the way home. All senior adults are invited to attend.
