Weekly Youth Update: 6/8-6/14

This week, we will begin our summer with our Start of Summer Celebration! We’ll have pizza and snacks provided as well as games and a time of devotion. We hope that you’re able to make it out to the Loft of the Family Life Center from 6:30-7:30, Wednesday night, for this time of fellowship! Gym opens at 6:00 beforehand for anyone wanting to hang out!

From Wednesday, June 10, to Friday, June 17, the Homeland Park Youth will join Southside Baptist Church and other area churches for COLA WARS!!!!!! Last year, this was an incredible time for us as we fellowshipped over great biblical teaching, worship, lots of food, and incredible games. Students will be divided into two teams, Sprite and Sierra Mist, to see which team can bring home the championship! To go with our group, please arrive to the church at 5:30 each night to arrive on time at Southside Baptist Church in Anderson!

Our church is hosting Vacation Bible School from Monday, June 22, to Thursday, June 25! Students who have just finished 6th-12th grade will be volunteering. Students who have just completed 5th grade will be attending VBS as participants.

On Saturday, June 26, the youth will head to Six Flags for a day of thrills and fun! The cost for the trip is $30. To attend, they must have the appropriate forms signed and attend 70% of the Wednesday nights from now through July 22. A $15 deposit is due by July 8.

Below is a schedule of our summer activities! We pray these events grow us closer to the Lord and continue to deepen relationships. Also, remember our Wednesday night meeting times will still be each week, from 6:30-7:30! Our regular Wednesday night meetings will be just as exciting as the summer socials!

This ordinance is not for everyone.  This is only to be taken by those who are believers and accepted Jesus as their ultimate forgiver and leader.  To partake in this service in an unworthy state is sin. 1 Corinthians 11:27 (NLT) 27 So anyone who eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily is guilty of s
